If the brush pressure is uneven or does not meet the requirements, the slip ring will fail. The reason is that the brush is too short or overheating will cause the spring to age and lose its elasticity, check the pressure on the brush with a spring scale. For brushes whose pressure is not constant, under the specified conditions, the pressure must meet the specifications of the product, if not specified, run for a certain period of time (usually 140-250G/CM2). Each brush holder in the same brush holder must have an even brush pressure. The static pressure spring must be completely free from mechanical damage, the test pressure of the spring scale must meet the design standard, and the pressure deviation of the spring of the same pole must not exceed 5%.

The looseness of the sleeve slip ring mainly occurs between the sleeve and the copper ring. This is because the sleeves do not splay out of each other and become loose during the thermowell process. Looseness can be severe if installed without a thermal shield. Any loose copper rings must be repaired immediately. The repair procedure is to first remove all collector rings from the shaft, then remove the loose copper rings, then remove the outer surface of the original copper ring sleeve, and finally remove the outer surface of the shaft. Use original copper ring bushings according to the bushing diameter and dimensional tolerances. Reinstall all copper rings. The sleeve and the copper ring should be matched according to the standard tolerance. The temperature of the copper ring should not be too high during the cooperation. When it is lower than 150, there should be a heat sleeve on the sleeve.

The slip rings of such scrapers can usually be repaired by grinding.
